Io began as Isis International in 1974, a feminist organisation with a long-standing commitment to feminist movement building. In our current avatar, we remain committed to our mission: facilitating spaces for feminist conversations.

Io is formally registered as Io International, a non-profit organisation, with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines.
