Our Story

We began as Isis International in 1974, a feminist information communication organization supporting feminist movement building globally. In 1991, we moved to Manila, Philippines, to demonstrate our commitment to the Global South. Changes in current political and funding landscapes have been precursors to the re-visioning of Io’s organizational structure and strategies.
