We are a group of feminist activists working to make women’s movements stronger by empowering fellow feminists in their activism, as well as enhancing their leadership capacity through facilitation and feminist conversation.
Activist School
The Io Feminist Activist School creates learning spaces for activists to hone their skills in feminist analyses, leadership awareness, and facilitating feminist conversations.

We provide free access to resources drawn from over 40 years of feminist organising and publishing, including research, images, and campaign materials in digital format.
Feminist Spaces
Bahay ni Io provides a comfortable, women- and trans-friendly oasis with lodgings, a co-working space, meeting spaces, and facilities for workshops and other social events.
Our Story
We began as Isis International in 1974, a feminist information communication organization supporting feminist movement building globally. In 1991, we moved to Manila, Philippines, to demonstrate our commitment to the Global South. Changes in current political and funding landscapes have been precursors to the re-visioning of Io’s organizational structure and strategies.
